Buyers, scarce as they are, are out there looking for the best deal possible. This means that you’ll be competing against foreclosures and other real estate properties that have lowered their prices. So don’t be afraid to lower your own asking price significantly. Sometimes it even means selling for a breakeven price which isn’t naturally what you’d want to do but it could be worse.
You should also make it a point to be competitive with the real estate in your area. Research is the key here in determining how to price your home and how to stay in the selling game.
Increase the value of your home by making necessary repairs too. Buyers do not want to have to make renovations or deal with faulty utilities. They want an all-in-one package and this means that everything should be working properly. It is a big plus to your real estate.
Sweeten the deal for any buyer by offering different ways to pay. Packages that offer rent-to-own or other special arrangements go a long way.
